The Unclaimed Sword Of A Decaying Kingdom

Far into the Downfall Timeline we find Hyrule a devastated place. Far different from the kingdom that was granted the power of gods long before, the now semi-modernized Hyrule stands at the verge of collapse in the clutches of chaos. In such dark times, a hero is expected to rise and bring piece to the land. The hero chosen by all is none other than the descendant of a bloodline of courageous knights that time and time again had saved Hyrule and its people. A hero named by tradition like his many predecessors, Link. Pushed to save the life he knows, he is rushed to acquire the blade of legend that could only be held by a hero considered pure of heart. Yet, in such dark times, no person is left who bares a noble soul. Not even the hero of the story. As Link reaches for the handle of the Master Sword, he is cast back harshly, realizing he wasn't deemed worthy of bearing such legendary weapon. The people of the empire turn their backs on him, calling him an impostor and a traitor, yet still expect him to save them all, or die trying. Link is sent off into his journey alone, where he is determined to reclaim the right to bear the sword of evil's bane and the honor of his name to vanquish what threatens life as he knows it.
